Magpie is a music-dance company that has existed in Amsterdam since 1995. In 2007 Magpie became an Umbrella title for musicians and dancers to create improvisation performances, research projects, open sessions, workshops, collaborations and national or international tours. The pool of artists involved in Magpie includes the founding members and new artist’s members who are heading projects and contributing to the company’s genetic drift.
